The Weather Channel, with the exception of Jim Cantore, is useless. The newer faces Al Roker and Sam Champion are celebs, people who might get the channel an audience. DIRECT TV dropped The Weather Channel from its lineup, saying that the majority of its non-weather programming is reality show based. I don’t watch it so I don’t really know if that’s true or DIRECT tv’s excuse.

The governor of Georgia and the mayor of Atlanta are exchanging blows at forecasters, saying national forecasters were wrong. Oops, Al was probably so busy dashing to Washington to get a front row seat at SOTU he mailed in his forecast for Atlanta.

I am a huge fan of the weather/science geek website Watts Up With That, so much so I vote it should have a place on your blogroll. They have an extraordinarily good article today dissing Obama’s declaration last night re his statement that global warming is FACT.
