She was probably hoping to preempt Barry’s promise of “the most transparent administration in history”

What difference does it make, now?

Hillary Clinton 2004 on the new Clinton Library’s policy towards presidential archives:  All documents, all the time.

In 2004, then-Sen. Hillary Clinton said that records at the Clinton Library would actually be available earlier than legally required. Clinton said the library would be about “openness” where people can “come and really study,” adding “everything’s going to be available.”

Here’s the transcript from Clinton’s 2004 interview on CNN with Larry King:

Larry King: Well, make a call as I said. Do you think the impeachment thing was handled tastefully and well?

Hillary Clinton: I do. I do. I’ve told everyone that the history was going to be full and accurate. Nothing’s left out. Obviously, not everything can be shown. But there’s going to be access to all of the documents. In fact, Bill is going to be making his documents accessible even earlier than legally required.

LK: He is?

HC: He is. Because he really thinks it’s important. That’s one of the things the library really stands for. It physically stands for openness with all the glass and the light. But he wants it to be a place where people come and really study. And everything’s going to be available.

Hillary Clinton 2014 on access to secret records: Only when you pry them from my cold, stiff hands.

A trove of Clinton White House records long processed for release remains hidden from public view at the Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock — even though the legal basis initially used to withhold them expired more than a year ago.

The papers contain confidential advice given to or sought by President Bill Clinton, including communications with then-first lady Hillary Clinton, and records about people considered for appointments to federal office.

About 33,000 pages of documents are involved, according to the National Archives, which runs the library.

  1. On 2/26/1993 I could see from my drafting room at 6.West Putnam Avenue (you know where that is) smoke from the World Trade Center caused by a truck bomb aimed at USA.
Hillary’s most important man was involved in much more important desires…his reaction “what does it matter”…as our friends and family who lost loved ones that day….
Her playbook is ignorance dependant….51% (of polled by Washinton Post ) Registered Democrats released today do not know the Earth revolves around the Sun once a year.
While I watched the smoke rising from WTC will his/her documents clarify what was being raised on whom by whom?
    Does it matter?
    I am not celebrating today…..

No better insurance policy that the embarrassing documents from our current President’s first term won’t be released when their time comes (during Hilary’s second term).

The domestic political equivalent of mutually assured destruction.

Heard some rumblings by some legitimate people recently that Killary will more than likely not run….due to serious health problem(s).
The supposed fainting spell, occurring after Benghazi, seem to have uncovered health difficulties precluding her from running!

Although I’m quite certain the Dems could nominate a non-Hillary candidate that would make me shudder, I still would give mega rounds of applause for no-Hillary in 2016. In contrast to Hillary, Bill is statesman of the millennium – with character of the highest order, too.
