They promised us Smart Diplomacy™ – we got bupkis

No texting!

No texting!

As Putin swallows Eastern Europe, US Ambassador urges UN to ban texting while driving.

What’s (almost) amusing about our current administration’s incompetence and helplessness (and its grasp of priorities) is that this crowd ridiculed the naive, simpleton ideas of conservatives and promised to bring professionalism into the State Department.

Whoo boy.

Give her a break, Chris. This is a proposal from the UN General Assembly, which spent an entire day yammering about distracted driving. If Samantha Power had not agreed for the US to be a co-sponsor, then she would have been open to a hypocrisy charge, as we have many laws and policies covering this. Moreover, does anyone, even you, think texting while driving is a good idea?

Perhaps the libs, most of whom claim to believe in evolution, should allow people stupid enough to text while driving continue to do so, so that the carriers of the deficient genetic material self select themselves out of the pool. Maybe Chris could give them all post-humous Darwin Awards as a post incentive?

It is the harm that texting while driving does do to others that matters; not the harm they do to themselves, which is deserved.

Putin successfully is reclaiming the Ukraine. Vladimir has Europe over the barrel with natural gas.

But hey, Barry tried to invade Nevada for Harry Reid and the Chinese; of course he failed miserably.

  3. Smart Diplomacy™ requires smart people – not people who think they’re smart.

Here’s an old joke: Why don’t bureaucrats look out the window in the morning? Because they’ll have nothing to do in the afternoon.
