Well Barry finds it hilarious, anyway

O’Bumpkus sat down with Governor Perry to discuss the administration’s amnesty plan and one side of the table thought the whole fiasco fabulously entertaining. I wonder whether the country will get the joke?

One thing I am absolutely sure of, is unlike both Bush presidents, he will almost certainly not maintain a dignified silence in retirement.

However, I’m also hopeful that post Presidency he will be far less successful that the Clintons, and will be forced to live on his pension, with his wife, for decades, and that it will be a huge ordeal for him to be ignored.

    We can hope.

At this point I wouldn’t be shocked if he stuck his ass out of the presidential limo and mooned us.

Perry wiped the grim look off and slid over to the blonde side.

Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven — Matthew 18:10

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy.”

    -Proverbs 31:8-9

Ironic, isn’t it, that the religious right, for all their preening fealty to the Bible, missed these moral lessons somewhere along the way? Even Glenn Beck and Brit Hume are getting pounded from their wingnut brethren for showing a glimmer of compassion towards these children. Heavens to mergetroid, we can’t have these moochers treated with any decency; better to spit on and scream at them. This from the “values” crowd that treats “snowflake babies” with more reverence than actual, living breathing children who they are treating with contempt. And that’s no joke.
