Ask a simple question, lose your head

First Amendment, Muslim style

First Amendment, Muslim style

Republican who asked what Muslims have contributed to “the very fabric of America” is forced from his job (by fellow Republicans, even – election eve draws nearer).

A Virginia Republican Party official resigned Wednesday night over a post he made on Facebook questioning Muslims’ contributions to the ‘fabric’ of America.

The post was a critique of President Barack Obama’s statement that the Muslim holiday Eid-al-Fitr ‘reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. ‘

‘It is one thing to be gracious on religious holidays, but this is pure nonsense,’ Bob FitzSimmonds, the unelected Treasurer of the Republican Party of Virginia, said in a comment accompanying Obama’s quote.

‘Exactly what part of our nation’s fabric was woven by Muslims? What about Sikhs, Animists, and Jainists? Should we be thanking them too?’ he asked.

Funny, I was wondering the same thing, and I’ll bet millions of other Americans were too.

    Dude –
Of course the slums have contributed to the fabric of America, just as the Idiot in Chief claims. Do you want me to list some examples? OK THAN!! But only because you asked nicely.

Firstly, we have the first slum, half black, gay President. THREE RECORDS BROKE AT ONCE!! You don’t consider that historic? And a meaningful contribution? I didn’t say good, I said meaningful. You dolt. PAY ATTENTION!! And he married a wookie, so now we have a wookie First Lady. FOUR NEW RECORDS!! For those of you keeping score.

Thirdly, American slum scientists have invented a time travel device that can transport an entire country back to the middle ages. They are calling it “Islam”. You don’t find that meaningful? You anti-slum.

Secondly, the slums took down the Twin Towers, greatly enhancing the New York economy by all the required new rebuilding. And they spawned a new industry called the TSA. YOU DON’T THINK THAT’S MEANINGFUL? Have you not been sexually assaulted by a TSA Agent? YOU HAVEN’T LIVED!!

Ancillary contributions include allowing the beating of wives, and realizing women should not drive. And also discovering that the Jews can shape shift. They are an enlightened people, who believe they must kill all non-believers. THAT’S NOT MEANINGFUL??

Finally, they make people realize a Temple in your neighborhood really isn’t that bad, because it could have been a Mosque.

There are many other contributions, but that should be enough to convince you these folks have it right, and are just like us. And as Barry said, their contributions to America are significant, as I have heretofore undeniably established. I rest my case.

Tell me. TELL ME!! What have the WASP’s contributed, besides crash into Plymouth Rock? You losers.

Although I will give you the Witch Hunts. Those were pretty cool!!

    Your Pal,
    Walt

Love it!!! AND, you just happen to be 100% spot on!

You liked the witch hunts huh? Those were some of my ancestors who pulled that scam off. Bang the girls, accuse them of witchcraft, hang them high, POOF, accusations of rape and/or adultery vanish. Then there was that whole deal about being able to by the land for next to nothing as well. A great deal all in all.

omg. just awesome and so true. thanks Walt.

You’d think the cos cob contigent would have figured that out vis a vis the mosque thing, but they’re a little behind the eight ball on that one. Maybe it’s the marinara sauce…

With all due respect, you left off one off their greatest achievements…… killing their own daughters who dare to consort with the infidels and become a little too westernized, or Allah forbid, get the crazy notion in their stupid noggin about marrying for love, of all things. You know, gotta keep those bloodlines pure!

Traditionally, most Arabs in Saudi Arabia marry no further out than 2nd cousins, with most marriages being between 1st cousins. This explains many deficiencies in their DNA and overall makeup.

Muslims outnumber Jews about 100 to 1 and yet the record shows they have contributed dick:

Number of Jewish Nobel Prize winners: 190 http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Jewish_Nobel_laureates

Number of Musim Nobel Prize winners: 10

Interesting, Chris R. Thanks for posting. The more formidable danger is not the terrorists, it’s the “moderates”.

Reinstate the man, he speaks the truth. And Walt, that was awesome.

I think the fabric comment refers to the burqa. I have it on good authority that the Sharia Boutique is taking the space that was vacated by RH on The corner of Elm and the Ave. Nice paring with Lulu yoga pants and the pick trimmed Nike athletic shoes……

Hey, I know!!! Rabbi Andrew, listen up good sir: The Greenwich Reform Temple can clear its Poofter & Zona Bored hurdles real quick…

Just call yourself Imam Andy and re-name the congregation “Greenwich Reform Mosque.”

Bingo. Nary a poofter nor zona on the Bored would dare turn you down. Don’t forget to start with threats. Details matter. This playing “nice” ain’t getting you no-wheres.

About 200-300 years ago, western culture wasn’t much different than theirs is now. Trying to fast track our culture on them , economically or militarily, isn’t working to good. Step back into 18th century America and try to force these kind of changes, you’d have a war on your hands.

    • Yos

That first part isn’t quite working, Towny. The differences were fundamental and substantive.

The West didn’t suddenly invent it’s rejection of slavery, for example, 300 years ago. That particular sin was an atavism that showed-up in spite of, not in accordance with, fundamental religious and political doctrines of the West.

OTOH, slavery as an institution has existed continuously in accordance with the teachings of a certain pagan religion ever since Big Mo decided he took a shine to underage girls. No civil wars have ever been fought since by his robots to overturn the horror. They still run a thriving trade in young girls in Africa.

And while Western culture was inventing medicine and art forms and musical forms, building printing presses and experimenting in Liberty (Magna Carta, anyone?), our cretinous cousins maintained one foot in the seventh century, one hand on a sword and their heads jammed up their sorry arses.

      • towny

Agreed, mostly. Cultural change comes from within a society. Though I recall bible folk were slaving when Big Mo was swimming round his great great great grandpappy;s balls.

      Oh, bullshit.
