Department of Defense announces essay contest to honor the deceased King Abdullah of Arabia
WASHINGTON, Jan. 26, 2015 – The chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff has established a research and essay competition in honor of Saudi Arabia’s King Abdullah Bin Abdul-Aziz hosted by the National Defense University.
The king, who died Jan. 23 at age 90, oversaw the modernization of his country’s military during the time he spent as commander of the Saudi Arabian National Guard, a position he held from 1963 until he became king in 2005.
Army Gen. Martin E. Dempsey said the essay competition is a fitting tribute to the life and leadership of the Saudi Arabian monarch.
‘A Man of Remarkable Character and Courage’
Dempsey first met Abdullah in 2001, when he was a brigadier general serving as the U.S. advisor to the Saudi Arabian National Guard. “In my job to train and advise his military forces, and in our relationship since, I found the king to be a man of remarkable character and courage,” Dempsey said.
Marine Corps Maj. Gen. Frederick M. Padilla, the president of the National Defense University, welcomed the opportunity to challenge future students while honoring the late king.
“This scholarly research competition presents NDU students with a unique opportunity to focus their research and writing efforts on relevant issues at the intersection of U.S. security interests and the Arab-Muslim world,” he said.

And while leaders from around the world were traveling to Auschwitz to commemorate the liberation, you-know-who was ignoring that event and instead paying homage to his recently departed buddy in Saudia Arabia.

In all fairness, it’s a bit of a mystery to me too. I think that like a lot of progressives, he does a decent job of hiding his disdain for Israel and as president realizes that it’s useful to have an actually ally in the middle east. And you’re right, Jewish liberals are in denial about how he feels about them.

There’s a lot of antisemitism in black american culture. I think it’s tied up with resentment that another religious/ethnic minority has done better socioeconomically.

I think he does a better job hiding his disdain for Israel than he does for the British, who he hates for their colonial era history. He had no problem giving the bust of Winston Churchill the boot from the White House and then lying about it:

I am surprised there is not more anti-semitism in the USA. Look who is in charge of the fed and of wall street. The tribe makes up 36%of the Forbes 400. What group has scooped up more resources than any other group in the entire country. What group controls Hollywood and the media and promotes all the social engineering and political correctness that wil be the ruin of America. Those are just a few of the facts.

As a marsupial, I’m not sure that a possum really sucks 🙂
I do not know what a marsupial is but i do not like them I am sure. They are probably worse than hairy tribesmen.
