Corey Kupersmith’s final chapter

Coppersmith Village, Martha's Vineyard

Kupersmith Village, Martha’s Vineyard

Kupersmith’s former home in Conyers Farm at 2 Cowdray Park/11 Hurlingham Drive, foreclosed on quite some time ago, has a contract. Originally purchased by Kupersmith in 1999 for $8.9 million, its last asking price from People’s Bank was $4.1.

Kupersmith was the subject of many wild tales during his tenure here, most of which I won’t write about for fear that the penniless grifter might look to me for damages, but he was involved in a take-over of a Wyoming gun manufacturer, leaving several very angry investors and “partners” in his wake, and, of course, his most prominent failure, the Martha’s Vineyard golf course development that went bust.

Riverside Contract

44 Cedar Cliff

44 Cedar Cliff

44 Cedar Cliff Road, asking $2.950.00. It’s a 1997 house, not particularly to my taste, but Cedar Cliff’s a nice location. The MLS shows this as having been on for about  year, starting at $3.4 million, but I’m pretty sure I showed it, at a different price, some years back. Whatever, now it has a buyer.

1,000 + days later, a sale

50 Indian Head Road

50 Indian Head Road

50 Indian Head Road, Riverside, has sold for $3.025 million. Way back when, I suggested that the original price of this house, $4.1 million, was nuts, because a very similar house up the street had just sold for $3.750, totally renovated. I suggested then that, subtract the cost of renovating this one from that $3.750 and you’d have its price. It seems that’s what finally happened.
