New Haven police reluctantly suspend their new program of searching unlocked vehicles and grabbing anything valuable, after lawyers point out that they can’t do that.

Why didn’t these people learn that lesson from their parents, if not in police academy?

    New Haven? Too bad there’s not a law school or something in that area that would have challenged this.

    • Since the law school up there teaches that “property is theft”, the professors and students probably didn’t think it was important which thief holds something.
