I always worry about a house that’s thrice the price of its neighbors

28 old camp

28 Old Camp Lane

Still, someone has to be the pioneer. New construction at 28 Old Camp Lane is priced at $3.450 million, while previous sales on Old Camp have just barely nudged past $1 million. Those were old houses, this is new, so obviously it’s apples and oranges, except that they’re all in the same orchard.

That said, the house looks just fine, albeit with a few odd choices in fixtures and a marginal yard, and the builder got the land out of foreclosure for just $560,000, so he’s got plenty of room to adjust his price, if he needs to.

Don’t you hate dysfunctional sinks like this?

Just not enough zing in that exterior for this price point. Moreover, pioneers get arrows on streets like this. Better to be the third or fourth tear down.

Nice house – this should be fun to watch. Market is good between $1 & $2.5MM, anything above that is struggling.

Doesn’t the water splash all over the place in that sink ? Doesn’t seem very functional especially if you have young kids.

Where the f do I put my glass of wine in that tub? I also still like jacuzzi jets in the tub too! This tub just doesn’t look that comfortable.

You are so right about sinks such as that. They are meant to be admired, but not used…

The tub is awful! I don’t understand why so many builders are putting these in new master baths?

Because their interior designers love them. Women on the other hand tend to dislike the large step (honey, where is the stool?) and the need for furniture to hold your magazines, wine, candles, soaps, etc.

Selfishly, I hope it gets that price.

    My guess is $2.8
