Well if Port Chester residents won’t be able to use it, what’s the point of building it at all?

BYRAM, CT: JUNIOR LEAGUERS’ CHILDREN CAVORT WITH THEIR NEW FRIENDS FROM ECUDOR

Our town leaders are considering restricting use of the upcoming Byram Adventure Park Pool to residents only.  Considering? So, as things stand now, we’re planning to spend our tax dollars on something that our Byram residents can invite their cousins from over the border to?

Who elects these people, and why doesn’t someone start a branch of the Republican Party here?

Corporate cronyism is as ugly as everything else in Congress

lampphoto

Never mind!

GE is stopping production of CFLs, “because LEDs are better”. The whole CFL scam started when the incandescent bulb stopped being profitable for GE when every third world sweat shop was churning them out for fractions of a penny. GE lobbied, Congress responded, and bam! No more regular bulbs – the nation (and Europe, for that matter) was forcibly switched to $7, lousy pieces of crap that polluted landfills, burned out in  fraction of the time promised by their manufacturers  and made GE rich(er).

Now it’s on to the next bright thing, and you can bet that the lobbyists are already at worl, as is our Congress.

Probably ethanol-fueled lanterns.

UPDATE: Good heavens, I’d forgotten to rail about the new, non-functioning gas cans the EPA forced on the public beginning in 2007, but this guy hasn’t. If you have an old one, clutch it as tightly as your gun, because the government wants to take it away. For those Greenwichites who no longer fill their own lawnmowers or other lawn maintenance items, this isn’t an issue – for the rest of us, it’s huge.

But still capable of sending a message.

ISIS executioner’s head blown apart by sniper’s bullet as he demonstrates best beheading techniques to recruits.

From 4,000 feet away. The recruits suffered a sudden and severe loss of enthusiasm.

DEMOCRATS IN DISARRAY:  Sanders supporters revolt against superdelegates.

[I]sn’t it funny to see Sanders fans so upset that the delegates he worked so hard to win are being . . . redistributed to someone else?
