Screen Shot 2016-06-30 at 1.40.54 PM80 Round Hill Road sold for $4.080 on an asking price of $4.250, so pretty impressive. It’s a classic old (1913) house on two beautiful  acres on lower Round Hill, so it has a lot going for it. On the other hand, it’s going to take a lot of money and work to bring it up to date.

The interior is very 5th Avenue co-op. Am I the only one utterly charmed by the kitchen, in a world of standard-issue builder-grade white marble and stainless?

  2. No, you’re not the only one, I like it too! And blue/gray cabinets are coming back in

The ceiling wallpaper in the kitchen is distracting. Without it, I could live with that kitchen easily. But the master bath… wow. That tub is so cheesy. And carpet in a bathroom should be illegal.

    • Carpet in a bathroom, although gross, can be a good idea for seniors who worry about slipping getting in or out of the tub. I doubt anyone puts carpet in a bathroom for any other reason.

  4. The bones of the house are amazing. It’s very wallpaper heavy (see pix in Ogilvy link) but that can be fixed – the room sizes are divine and the sun room, the living room, the dining room – all wonderful. I like that there are two driveways – one gracefully curving to the front door and one a short straight shot to the garages. Excellent buy. Lucky peeps.
