In view of their pending foreclosures, the Fabulous Five can take comfort in this study’s finding: home ownership makes women fat and sad.

Tucker’s Horse Farm – going once …

(A little) more on the pending sale of Fairfield Greenwich Group co-partner Jeff Tucker’s sale of his Saratoga horse farm, this time from an Albany newspaper. (Amusing that the New York Post should beat a local paper to the story, eh?). When the Madoff scam first exploded in December Tucker allowed as he’d have to sell off his horses but now the landunderneath them is going too. Of course, what good’s a horse farm without horses?, so this makes sense.

One clarification: “It is absolutely not true,” Tucker told the Albany Times Union, “that any of Walt and Monica’s daughters are part of this sale. Or at least, that’s not anticipated at this time.”

The judge says, “keep your money”, but the Noels are spending it

Guest of a Guest reports that at least one of the Fabulous Noel Girls isn’t letting an icky-poo situation like her father’s impending bankruptcy spoil her fun. Mickey and Judy put on a show in times of trouble – these girls throw parties! How utterly droll, darling.

Matt Lauer trapped in building with Madoff, wants out

Two roomies, one grateful to be staying out of jail, the other feeling as though he’s in one. Matt Lauer owns an apartment in the same 64th Street building Bernie Madoff is holed up in and, since the paparazzi can’t get pictures of Bernie, they content themselves with snapping Matt and his kids. He hates it. “I’d go home to Greenwich,” Lauer says, “but there are more freakin’ Madoffs there than here.” Reminded that all of the Fabulous Five Noel Girls are also in Greenwich, Lauer visibly brightened. “Gee, I haven’t done equestrian sports in ages – maybe we can do the Today Show out in the country for awhile.”
