Police shoot hostage taker in Texas
A SWAT team shot and killed a man who allegedly took hostages at a Walmart in Amarillo, TX Tuesday. According to the Amarillo Police Department, the suspect is a Somali man identified as Mohammed Moghaddam and they found an empty holster and notes with Arabic writing in his vehicle. No one else in the store was reported to have been harmed.

Has anyone else encountered a “work release solicitor” going door to door? It is quite unusual for someone to walk around my neighborhood, so I reported it to the Greenwich police. That was met with a very cold response from the GPD. Last time I called them out of fear they were very comforting, but last night I felt like I had to defend myself for being suspicious. Think there is any correlation between this response and a) calling 911 vs the non emergency number or b) the liberal demise in this country over the last couple of years?
I blame liberals for everything that isn’t global warming’s or Bush’s fault (so that doesn’t leave much), but I suspect your experience is more likely attributable to a cop having a bad evening.
