Colombian drug lord shot dead while in hospital bed. Andres Piedrahita, husband of Noel daughter Corina and partner in Fairfield Greenwich Group could not be reached for comment.

    Walt and the boys have been sued for the approximately $1 billion in fees they collected from Madoff. This is a classic case of unjust enrichment by unwitting participation in illegal activity, and a conviction is a certainity. Unless Walt has officers and directors insurance sufficient to cover a $1 billion judgement, the rational action for him is to flee the jurisdiction, and hope he can keep his assets from his creditors. If he stays he is toast.

    Did the feds get wind of something that feels illegal?
    Probably not an issue with the Spanish and Italians but the Spanish Noels and the Italian Noels went to Egypt and Dubai over the holidays….seems those places dont ask where cash comes from…
    And they were advised to avoid the USA for years.
    Just another example of their greed instead of trying to right the wrongs of their lazy business practices.
