I was rather surprised at Peter Tesei’s “no comment” response to the NYT reporter, and drew my own conclusion from his silence, as I’m sure many others did.
I had the same reaction to Tesei’s response. A very weak and disappointing display of non-leadership.
It reminds me of some recent Supreme Court nominees saying “they’d never thought about abortion”. Iunderstand the need for that response at that level, I suppose, but as First Selectman of a small town, come on, John – go for it!
