    There are no significant differences between the moral stands of the Dalai Lama and the Catholic Church, a point that seems to be lost among his adoring fans in Hollywood and the academy. No doubt those sophisticates (since they seem not to bother becoming familiar with his teachings or just ignore them) assume he, as a non-Christian and thus “enlightened,” endorses their libertine outlook. He most emphatically does not.
